Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour

Job description:

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing veterinary technician to join our day practice. This job will include but not be limited to: Patient care, restraint (in exam rooms and treatment/surgery), collecting a detailed history on patients, filling medications, greeting clients and their pets, educating clients on our protocols and products, cash/credit card transactions, scheduling appointments, assisting with x-rays, catheter placement, blood draws, and taking radiographs. We are a team oriented hospital and all positions within the hospital are required to help each other.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician experience preferred
• Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
• Experience with animal catheterization and pet care
• Familiarity with dental terminology and animal husbandry
• Ability to perform X-Ray procedures and handle laboratory tasks
