Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist to join our team. This dual-role position involves supporting veterinary staff with patient care while also managing front desk responsibilities and client communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Veterinary Assistant Duties:

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
• Safely handle and restrain animals
• Clean and prepare exam rooms and surgical areas
• Maintain and sterilize medical equipment
• Monitor animal health and report changes to the veterinary team
• Administer medications as directed (where applicable)

Receptionist Duties:

• Greet clients and patients in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage calendars
• Process payments and maintain accurate records
• Provide general information about services, treatments, and pet care
• Handle client inquiries with empathy and efficiency

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous veterinary or animal care experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software
